Donate Money . . .
Donations of cash help the families that we serve directly, in that 90 cents of every dollar donated actually is applied to direct services. That means that 90% of your donation is used to provide two hot, nutritious meals per day, transportation to and from the center, on-site licensed play therapy, high quality early childhood development, and other specialized services for the homeless children we serve. Additionally, that 90% is used to pay for comprehensive support services for families so that they can end their cycles of homelessness, thus reentering society employed and housed. 74% of the families that finish our 12-month program secure housing and the means to provide for the family into the future.
Donate gift certificates or gift cards . . .
Another beneficial way to help families is by providing gift cards or gift certificates usable at local department stores, shoe stores, grocery stores, mega stores, office supply stores, and beauty salon shops. This avenue to helping families respects their individual needs, sizes, and preferences of each member of the family. Additionally, gift cards for Cuidando los Niños makes it possible to acquire educational materials and supplies for the early childhood development and family support programs.
Sponsor an Event . . .
An excellent way to help the mission of Cuidando los Niños is to organize and carry-out a special event that raises financial support. Faith-based organizations, local businesses, civic groups, student groups, and other social entities are invited to partner with Cuidando los Niños in conceptualizing and implementing special events as a way to get involved in taking a stand to end homelessness for families in our local community. Often this avenue of putting together a special event is an excellent team-building experience at work sites, in church ministries, and among civic organizations.
Donate Goods and Services . . .
Cuidando los Niños always needs a variety of new donations to support our programs. Depending on the item, these donations are used to support our classrooms, offices, and are made available to our clients. We accept a variety of new goods.
