About Us

The Cuidando Los Niños (CLN) model is a public/private partnership featuring the dedication, talents and energy of people committed to ending homelessness in the local community.  CLN was created out of a grass-roots volunteer effort to address the needs of homeless families in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1988.  More than twenty years later, CLN is proving that we can help families end homelessness.

Funding sources include governmental support, private donors, foundations, faith-based entities and local fundraisers.  We celebrate the abundance of talent, resources and means within our community to help sustain the programs at CLN.

CLN maintains a network of active partnerships with several other community organizations, including municipal and state agencies, to maximize access to other services and housing opportunities for participating families.

For the parents, it is a partnership between staff and each parent to work toward social and economic self-sufficiency.
